#8. Why Black Factory Studio?
As a company, we often get questions regarding the origin of our name and branding. Where does Black Factory Studio come from? What influenced our founder? And, why black? Why not pink, green, or yellow?
Starting with the obvious, the ‘Black’ is prominently an acknowledgement of an architect’s favourite, and most reliable, shade, whilst also a subtle nod to our founder’s Kiwi heritage. The classic and luxurious feel the shade embodies is a failsafe in the design world, and felt like a natural fit in order to ensure our reliable and timeless ethos is clear.
‘Factory’ furthers this, and emphasises that our focus is on the production and delivery of your vision. Although, to be clear, we do also provide excellent design concept services! We focus on making things happen, to an exceptionally high standard. Our founder’s personal love for industrial design and styling also peeks through here, with the company name being a symbol of this nuanced understanding of sophisticated aesthetics.
The reference to ‘Studio’, rather obviously, looks to our design and architecture skills, and the space in which we ensure your designs come to life in the way you deserve. An artists studio is often regarded as a sacred, creative and busy space to work, and we wanted to nod to that element of our community.
As a whole, the name Black Factory Studio showcases the perfect embodiment of a design studio who is ready and willing to take your space to the next level, supporting you every step of the way, maintaining a clear and exciting path for your project.
